DEI Workshop - Resistance

Free to Grow in Forestry is hosting a FREE educational virtual workshop on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Resistance!

Interested to learn about the Free to Grow in Forestry initiative? Want to know how you can join the many companies and organizations in the forest sector that have already declared their intent to make a change to their workplace culture on diversity and inclusion?

Whether you are in Canada, the USA, or elsewhere, you are welcome to come and listen to what we are doing to make a difference in the forest sector on this important topic.

Join us for this one-day online workshop as we hear from experts discussing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the forest sector. With a focus on resistance, this workshop will provide practical tools on how you can make a difference to your workplace culture. Guest speakers will:

  •  Engage you on what privilege means and how to use it to be an ally in the workplace;

  • Identify what resistance to DEI looks like and more importantly, how to overcome it;

  • Explain how there is an Indigenous pool of talent ready, willing and able to enter the forest sector workforce and where to find them;

  • Discuss how you can be a part of Free to Grow in Forestry's impact to move #ForestryForward.

What makes Free to Grow in Forestry unique? We empower decision makers by explaining the benefits to them and engage them on how to be an inclusive leader and an effective ally, provide practical tools on how to overcome resistance, and explain how that adds value to the bottom line.
